Welded Stainless Wire Mesh

Welded Stainless Mesh are not woven, but rather the wires are joined by resistance-welding which results in strong, consistent welds which use no filler metal in the joints. It is used when a non-toxic and non-fraying material with a large open is required.

Our standard range of mesh is held in 304 quality from ¼" X ¼" mesh from 21 swg (0.8mm) wire, to 2" x 2" mesh from 10swg (3.1Smm) wire. Within this range we hold stocks in rolls of various widths for the lighter meshes, and panels 8ft x 4ft and 6ft x 3ft for the heavier meshes.

Many non-standard meshes are also manufactured to special order within the wire diameter range from 18 swg (1.2mm) up to ½" (12.5mm). Both these and standard meshes can be supplied spot welded to heavier gauge rod frames.

Steellong can supply welded stainless mesh and wire products electro polished after manufacture. Welded stainless mesh is strongly recommended where extreme cleanliness is important, for example in the food, pharmaceutical and electronics industries.
